Our Professional Nomad Story

In 2020, with our children grown and the pandemic helping to refocus our plans, we decided to move into a motorhome and pursue a more relaxed lifestyle of travel and part-time working.

We are still enjoying the nomadic lifestyle, but after five years in the motorhome we’ve moved on to new forms of nomadic life, predominantly house/pet sitting. We’ve travelled to many parts of the UK that we’d never visited before, in addition to touring around Europe and North America.

Lizzie

Lizzie has spent more than 40 years helping indivduals and businesses understand and manage their finances as an accountant.

After being diagnosed with ADHD in later life, she had a revelation as to why many traditional approaches to money management do not work for ADHD brains. Consequently, she was inspired to become an ADHD Money Mentor, specialising in helping women with ADHD.

She also works remotely as the finance manager for a Gloucester charity.

Pete

Pete worked for over 20 years in the software development sector, becoming a successful coach and trainer, helping large tech businesses around the world to work more effectively. He retired from corporate consultancy in 2021, but now provides some business consultancy and web support for small businesses.

In 2021, he started an axe throwing business in Cheltenham, which he ran for a few years before handing that on. He now runs a small mobile axe throwing business, Axe Nomads.
