Our Professional Nomad Story

In 2020, with our children grown and the pandemic helping to refocus our plans, we decided to move into a motorhome and pursue a more relaxed lifestyle of travel and part-time working.

We are still enjoying the nomadic lifestyle, but after five years in the motorhome we’ve moved on to new forms of nomadic life, predominantly house/pet sitting. We’ve travelled to many parts of the UK that we’d never visited before, in addition to touring around Europe and North America.

Lizzie

I have worked in a variety of finance roles since graduating with a degree in accountancy. I later qualified as an ACCA certified accountant. I now work part-time as remote finance manager for a Gloucester charity.

I am passionate about sustainable living and also run my own business selling environmentally friendly cleaning products.

Pete

I worked for over 20 years in the software development sector, becoming a successful coach and trainer, helping large tech businesses around the world to work more effectively. I retired from corporate consultancy in 2021, but now provide some business consultancy and web support for small businesses.

In 2021, I started an axe throwing business in Cheltenham and now also provide support for axe throwing entrepreneurs.
