We first started pet sitting on a three month trip around the USA in 2024 and enjoyed it so much we have continued to sit regularly ever since.
We are available to sit via Trusted House Sitters, or via our own direct private service.

Private House Sitting
If you’re not on Trusted House Sitters, we can provide private pet and house sitting. We make a small charge for this, to cover our additional costs, eg insurance.

What We Provide
- Mature experienced pet/house sitters
- Public liability insurance
- Usual day-to-day activities that your pet requires, inc
- inc: feeding, walking, administering medicines, cuddles, etc
- Peace of mind for you – your house is not left empty for the duration of the sit
- We will not leave your house/pet overnight or for longer than an agreed limit in the day
- Other activities such as watering plants, putting out bins, collecting post, et al
What You Provide
- Full instructions on how to care for your pet and house
- Contact number while you are away
- Sole use of the house for the agreed period
- inc: use of utilities including high speed broadband/wifi
NB: We are experienced sitters, but are not licensed pet carers (it is not required for house sitting)

Where do I start in explaining how wonderful Lizzie and Pete were with my home and babies. I always invite my sitters to stay the night before I leave so I have a chance to get to know them and see how the dogs will react. I was so comfortable with them and never had any worries about them caring for my home or dogs. As a matter of fact, the night I returned home, Jolie, had me awake all night because she wanted to go sleep with Lizzie and Pete. Then when I went into the room they were staying in Jolie tried to jump up to see if they were still in there. To say that I now have to win her love back is an understatement. Sure she missed me, for about 30 minutes, and then regally sat between Pete and LIzzie on the couch like she was the Queen. Baxter is laid back and a mama’s boy and loves to snuggle at night when he sleeps with me. I thought it was special for me but then Lizzie told me he did the same thing with her, so much for me feeling special. lol In all seriousness, this couple is absolutely top notch and I am trying to snag them for a trip I have next year, but they are unable to do it. I would recommend Lizzie and Pete beyond a shadow of a doubt and the love my animals showed to them just proves what I say. If I could have left them 10 stars or a 5++++++ I would have. What a fabulous couple Lizzie and Pete 🤩. From arriving the night before our departure for a month , they took time out to get to know our fur babies and the general running of our home. They both took to Lizzie and Pete instantly of whom have a calming nature , which put my mind at rest . They are both lovely warm people sending a few photos of our pets having a wonderful time. On returning I feel I lost my doggie to Lizzie she had made a very big attachment of which was super cute. I would welcome Lizzie and Pete back with open arms please don’t hesitate to have this delightful couple pet sit they really are gems.
Lizzie and Pete were absolutely amazing pet/house sitters. They arrived two hours before our departure, which gave us the chance to explain everything in person and even have lunch together. While we were gone for ten days, Lizzie sent daily updates with photos of their walks, cuddles, and lovely interactions with our 3 dogs. This was the most relaxing vacation in a long time, because we knew that our 4-legged family members had the most loving care we could have wished for. Upon our return, we found three happy and relaxed dogs who were already very attached to their sitters, following them around and cuddling with them on the couch, as we had seen in the pictures. The house was well taken care of, the bird feeders were filled and, to our surprise, Lizzie had prepared dinner for us, which we shared with them. Lizzie and Pete exceeded our expectations, and they are always welcome back in our house. We highly recommend these sitters! They will treat your house and pets as if they were their own. Thank you, Lizzie and Pete, for taking wonderful care of everyone and everything and for making sure we had a carefree vacation.
Lizzie was great, and I’d thoroughly recommend. Reliable from beginning to end. Communication was prompt both before and during the sit. Nothing was too much trouble and I’m happy with the way the dogs and house have been looked after. Thank you!

I was able to meet Lizzie before the ‘sit’ and was confident from the start that she would be a caring, considerate and conscientious sitter for Gracie and Archie. We came home to happy , well cared for pets and spotless home. I really hope it worked out as well for Lizzie and that she consider sitting for us in the future.

Lizzie & Pete took good care of Coco during my long weekend away. Straight away, there was a good rapport with Coco. Lizzie sent regular updates and photos of Coco, which were appreciated. Lizzie & Pete were organised and left our bungalow clean and tidy. This was my first experience of using Trusted Housesitters, so I now feel more relaxed leaving Coco.
Lizzie and Pete came the night before we left to meet us and our dogs Koda and Korra. I was able to show them the house and the dogs routine which is extremely helpful. They were very kind and friendly and took wonderful care of our fur babies and our home. They sent us pictures and updates of the dogs and we really appreciated that. We definitely would ask them again and recommend them to sit for you!
Yet again Lizzie and Pete looked after Scout and Tich brilliantly. Would highly recommend them and will definitely use them again, if they’re available.
Lizzie and Pete were all we could have hoped for. Our two dogs were clearly happy. It was great to have WhatsApp messages showing the dogs enjoying themselves. An added bonus was that they kept on top of harvesting and eating the produce from our vegetable patch! Thanks to both of them!

Lizzie & Pete were excellent! They were really dedicated to ensuring they provided the proper care by preparing in advance of my trip; they even stopped by for a walk-through and asked questions. Their communication and updates were perfect, I knew I had nothing to worry about. My home was just as tidy as I had left it and they even went above and beyond by laundering some things.
